जो धर्मरक्षणासाठी विविध रूपे धारण करतो, तो वृषाकृतिः. अवतारांच्या माध्यमातून तो सज्जनांचे रक्षण आणि अधर्माचा नाश करतो. धर्मस्वरूप कृतीत प्रकट होणारा परमेश्वर म्हणजे हा.
