Improves hardness and surface density on treated concrete surfaces. A colloidal silica densifier, also available as AQUASILICA, applied topically to harden and tighten repaired or aged concrete.
How surface densification works
Enters the surface pore network
Nano-scale colloidal silica particles penetrate into the capillary pore network of the treated concrete surface.
Reacts with free lime
Silica reacts with residual calcium hydroxide in the surface layer, forming additional calcium silicate hydrate.
Harder, denser surface
New reaction products fill capillary pores, raising surface hardness and density for improved wear resistance and reduced dusting.
