Composite Reinforcement Fillers — Milled Glass Fiber
Milled Glass Fibers
Engineered glass filaments milled into precise bulk densities and finished with specific chemical sizings — used as a reinforcement and filler medium in plastics, composites, adhesives, and coatings to boost modulus, dimensional stability, and impact strength.
Engineered filaments,milled for the job
MILIGLASS milled glass fiber consists of engineered glass filaments that are milled into various bulk densities to form powders or floccular masses, finished with specific chemical sizings to maximize end-use performance. Used as a reinforcement and filler medium in plastics, composites, adhesives, and coatings, MILIGLASS enhances mechanical properties, increases modulus, improves dimensional stability, and minimizes distortion under elevated temperatures.
MILIGLASS is compatible with thermoplastic materials — including PTFE — and thermoset materials such as polyester, phenolic, silicone, and epoxy resins. It is also compatible with most asphalt, putties, and patching cement formulations, and is designed to serve as a reinforcement in gluing pastes and as a general filler medium.
Milled Glass Fiber Details
Milled glass fiber provides fine reinforcement, improved dimensional stability, and excellent handling characteristics across a wide range of resin, repair, and composite applications.
Fine Fillet & Gap Filling
Finely ground, short fiberglass filaments are ideal for creating fine fillets and filling gaps in composite and repair work.
Dimensional Stability & Impact Strength
Increases dimensional stability and impact strength while minimizing shrinkage and distortion in the cured part.
Sag Resistance on Vertical/Overhead Surfaces
Can be used alone or blended with a silica thickener to prevent sagging when applying reinforced paste to vertical and overhead surfaces.
Broad Resin & Substrate Compatibility
Works across thermoplastics, thermosets, asphalt, putties, and patching cements without special processing changes.
MILIGLASS Bulk Density Grades
MILIGLASS milled glass fibers are available in different bulk density grades to support formulation, handling, dispersion, and reinforcement requirements across a range of applications.

Where MILIGLASS Is Used
MILIGLASS milled glass fibers provide versatile reinforcement and filler performance across composite, adhesive, coating, repair, and patching applications where improved strength, dimensional stability, and gap-filling capability are required.
Plastics & Composites
Reinforcement filler across thermoplastic and thermoset composite parts requiring higher modulus, improved dimensional stability, and enhanced mechanical performance.
Adhesives & Gluing Pastes
Reinforcement in gluing pastes for piece-to-piece bonding, improving joint strength, gap-filling performance, and overall dimensional stability.
Coatings & Patching Compounds
Filler medium for coatings, putties, and patching cements, providing reinforcement and compatibility with most asphalt-based systems.
Repair & Fillet Work
Suitable for fine fillets and gap-filling in marine, aerospace, and general composite repair. Can be used alone or blended with a silica thickener for vertical and overhead applications.
