How Wetting Works
Migrates to the Interface
The surfactant migrates to the coating-substrate interface as soon as the mix is applied, ahead of the bulk resin.
Lowers Surface Tension
Reduced surface tension lowers the contact angle between the liquid coating and the substrate, allowing it to spread smoothly rather than bead.
Full, Even Substrate Contact
The coating wets porous and mineral surfaces uniformly, preventing fisheyes, craters, and areas of poor adhesion while improving coating performance.
