Application Surface And Methodology
The Instrument Draws Ambient Air Through A USEPA-Based Omni-Directional PM10 Inlet, Which Separates Particles Larger Than 10 Microns From The Air Stream. A Dedicated PM2.5 WINS Impactor Further Classifies The Sampled Air, Allowing Fine Particulate Matter Smaller Than 2.5 Microns To Be Collected On A Separate Filter.
Both PM10 And PM2.5 Fractions Are Collected Simultaneously On Filter Media Suitable For Laboratory Analysis. After Sampling, The Filters Are Weighed Under Controlled Laboratory Conditions To Determine Particulate Matter Concentrations In Ambient Air.
To Ensure Accurate Sampling, An Indigenously Developed Microprocessor-Based Digital Dual Flow Controller Independently Maintains A Constant Flow Rate Of 16.67 LPM In Both Channels Throughout The Sampling Period. The System Continuously Measures And Records Sampling Parameters Including Flow Rate, Cumulative Volume, Temperature, Pressure, And Sampling Duration, Ensuring Reliable And Reproducible Results.
