EPA Method 5 & EPA Method 17 Compliant Isokinetic Stack Emission Sampling System manufacturer, supplier, and exporter, Mumbai-India.
The INSTRUMEX Stack Monitoring Kit (SMK-Series) is a comprehensive isokinetic stack emission sampling system designed for the accurate measurement and collection of particulate matter from stationary emission sources. The system is suitable for industrial stacks, boilers, power plants, cement plants, refineries, steel industries, waste incinerators, and environmental compliance monitoring applications.
Designed in accordance with internationally accepted stack monitoring methodologies, the system supports both EPA Method 5 (Out-Stack Filter Sampling) and EPA Method 17 (In-Stack Filter Sampling) for the gravimetric determination of particulate emissions, ensuring accurate and reliable stack emission monitoring.
Applications
- Stack Emission Monitoring
- Industrial Boiler Emission Testing
- Thermal Power Plants
- Cement Plants
- Steel & Metallurgical Industries
- Petrochemical & Refinery Facilities
- Waste Incineration Plants
- Environmental Compliance Monitoring
- Third-Party Environmental Audits
- Research & Environmental Studies
Sampling Methods Supported
EPA Method 5
Determination of particulate matter emissions using a heated probe and external heated filter holder. This method is widely used for stack emissions containing moisture and condensable components.
EPA Method 17
Determination of particulate matter emissions using an isokinetic probe with an in-stack filter holder, where the filter is positioned directly inside the stack gas stream. This method is suitable for applications where particulate collection is required within the stack.
How It Works
The system extracts a representative gas sample from the stack under isokinetic conditions, ensuring that the sampling velocity matches the stack gas velocity. Particulate matter carried in the gas stream is collected on a pre-weighed filter.
After sampling, the filter is conditioned and weighed in the laboratory. The increase in filter mass, together with the measured gas volume, is used to determine the particulate matter concentration in the stack emissions.
