The INSTRUMEX High Volume Sampler with Respirable Dust Sampler (RDS), Model IPM115, is a high-performance ambient air sampling system designed for the collection of Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter (PM10) and gaseous pollutants in accordance with BIS Standard IS 5182 (Part 23): 2006.

How It Works
The High Volume PM10 Sampler draws ambient air at a controlled high flow rate through a cyclonic particle size selective inlet designed in accordance with the CSIR-NEERI principle. Particles larger than 10 microns are separated through cyclonic action, while respirable particles measuring 10 microns and below (PM₁₀) are collected on a standard glass fiber filter paper for accurate gravimetric analysis.
An advanced electronic feedback flow control system continuously stabilizes the sampling flow rate throughout the sampling period. The system automatically shuts down if the flow rate drops by more than 15%, ensuring compliance with BIS standards while maintaining complete sample integrity.
The optional gaseous sampling attachment enables the simultaneous collection of gaseous pollutants using borosilicate glass impingers, allowing comprehensive ambient air quality assessment in a single sampling operation.
