Application Surface And Methodology
The instrument draws ambient air through a USEPA-based omni-directional PM10 inlet or an NPL-certified PM2.5 WINS impactor, depending on the sampling configuration. Airborne particulate matter is separated and collected on a filter medium suitable for laboratory analysis.
After completion of the sampling cycle, the filter is analyzed under controlled laboratory conditions to determine particulate matter concentration. The instrument maintains a constant sampling flow rate throughout the monitoring period using an advanced microprocessor-based digital flow controller, ensuring accurate and reproducible sample collection.
The system continuously records key sampling parameters such as flow rate, cumulative volume, temperature, pressure, and sampling duration, providing complete traceability and data integrity.
